I'm Max McCrane, third-generation inventor!

When I'm not going to school at Victor Appleton Middle School, I can be found in my home lab, testing out my latest invention. The best thing I've come up with so far is TIMEBENDER. It's an old 1960s VW Beetle (without an engine) that I turned into a time machine. That's right, TIMEBENDER can actually bend time and travel to the past or future. So hop in and join my friends and me in some cool time-travel adventures.

ADVENTURE #1: BATTLE BEFORE TIME

I don't mean to cause trouble! I just like to invent stuff. But whenever I invent something, trouble just kind of happens. I was only planning to prove to my friends, Allie and Grady, that my latest invention -- TIMEBENDER -- really worked. It was supposed to be a short trip into the past. I had no idea that another kid, Toby Brubaker, had fixed it so we couldn't get back!

First, we had a close encounter with a hungry T. Rex. Then, just when I thought I had TIMEBENDER head back to our own century, we ended up somewhere before time -- in the middle of a full-scale interplanetary war! Planets and stars were exploding ... weird lights wer whirling all around us ... we were running out of air to breathe ... and there was no way back!

That's when we met a strange new friend who change our lives forever.

ADVENTURE #2: DOORWAY TO DOOM

An ancient doorway ... a bag of glow-in-the-dark eyeballs ... and a mysterious intruder from the past. Who would have thought that such a strange combination could creat a time transport that would pull me and my friends a thousand years into the past -- with no way back to our own time?

That's right. We were stuck in the past without TIMEBENDER -- trapped in a world where castles, kings, and knights were all too real ... and so was the danger of sword battles, torture chambers, and a really evil wizard-wannabe.

It was a world more than a thousand years before I even invented TIMEBENDER, my time-traveling car. And the only way out was through a time portal called the Doorway to Doom!
